Sultan Saeed Al Darmaki is a hands-on producer and director with a wealth of experience in many aspects of the movie industry. His background is in management and business both in the public and private sector in his native Abu Dhabi (UAE) where he developed his business acumen before deciding to apply it to his passion - filmmaking.
Ever since his childhood, he has been an avid viewer of horror films, specifically creature features, and it is in this genre Sultan now focuses his attention. He first turned his passionate dream into reality by funding short films through Kickstarter and then progressed to financing and producing feature-length movies.
Through the relationships that he nurtured doing this, Sultan became more and more involved with the productions, getting involved in everything from doing the casting in one project to putting on a green suit to help a puppeteer in another production. In August 2013, he created Dark Dunes Productions, a global film production consortium that specializes in creature features. Dark Dunes Productions has produced dozens of movies to date.
Using skills acquired from his past work experiences, he applied them to producing and afterwards directing.
