Dan Meyer is known for appearances on America's Got Talent Finals, as a Golden Buzzer winner and finalist on Sweden's Talang, NBC's The Today Show, ESPN, and Stan Lee's Superhumans on History Channel.

Meyer began his career in the music business as an audio engineer and producer for Bill Gaither's Pinebrook Recording Studios in Alexandria IN in 1983. He later moved to Nashville where he worked in music videos and became Director of Internet Licensing with SESAC performing rights agency in 1988, and later handled international copyright licensing with STIM Swedish performing rights organization in Stockholm Sweden in 1990.

In 1997, after learning there were less than a dozen sword swallowers left around the world, Meyer began practicing sword swallowing, and after four years and over 14,000 unsuccessful attempts, successfully got his first sword down his throat on February 12, 2001.

In 2006, Meyer swallowed swords underwater in a tank of 88 sharks and stingrays for Ripley's Myrtle Beach SC, garnering him his first Ripley's Believe It or Not cartoon.

In 2007, Meyer was awarded the 2007 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine at Harvard University for award-winning medical research published in the December 2006 British Medical Journal.

In 2008, Meyer auditioned on America's Got Talent Season 3 where he appeared on 9 episodes and made it to the finals. In 2010, Meyer appeared on Stan Lee's Superhumans on the History Channel and Guinness World Records TV Lo Show Dei Record in Rome Italy.

Since 2001, Meyer has appeared on over 100 TV shows, documentaries, podcasts and shorts, made it to the Finals of America's Got Talent twice, on Australia's Got Talent twice, won the Golden Buzzer on Sweden's Talang, and returned to the finals to make it to the top 5, and has been featured on 16 Got Talents including Italy's Tu Si Que Vales, France's Got Talent, Spain's Got Talent España, Israel's Got Talent, Croatia's SuperTalent, Germany's Das SuperTalent, and Canada's Got Talent.
