Emir Kapetanovic is a Bosnian award-winning director based in Los Angeles. He graduated Film and Theatre directing and holds MA degree in Performing Arts - Directing. He has created socially engaged films, plays, cabarets, web series, hip-hop videos, street performances and stand-up comedy shows that have received national, and international, acclaim. His work turns art into activism as he highlights issues of social justice and reconciliation in his home country and abroad.
A winner of SEE Film LA Special Jury Mention for Best Documentary, he has directed films that screened at various festivals across the world, Istanbul Modern, the State Department, the United Nations Headquarters New York, as well as notable universities as Columbia University, TCU and Pratt Institute.
