Kathy Kelly Christos
- Actress
Kathy's love for performing began in a neighbor's garage at age three, with baby ballet and a big imagination. That first dance class sparked a journey that took her from small-town stages to off-Broadway, national commercials, and feature films.
After years of serious ballet training, a high school play shifted her focus from pointe shoes to speaking lines. That shift turned into a lifelong passion for truthful storytelling on stage and screen.
Kathy began her professional career in summer stock theatre, performing in musicals like Oklahoma! and Dust on Her Petticoats in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She then spent several years as Professor of Dance in the Drama Department at Cameron University, where she deepened her love for both choreography and acting. Eventually, she followed her instincts (and the roles) to New York City, where she trained and worked extensively in off-off Broadway theatre.
Like many actors in the city, she picked up the occasional side gig-including a memorable run as a magician's assistant to AGT winner Jarrett Parker. It was great for timing, confidence, and learning to stay calm in a box full of swords. Her performances received notable praise, including a commendation in the NY Times.
She later transitioned into film, television, and commercial work, with screen credits including HBO, The Travel Channel, Discovery, ID, PBS, and films alongside Hugh Grant, Ben Stiller, and Sally Field. Most recently, she was featured in a dancing role in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon.
Now based in Oklahoma, Kathy continues to work on stage and screen, collaborating with local filmmakers, starring in commercials, and supporting the vibrant creative community. She's grateful every day to do what she loves-and to keep telling stories that matter.
