Born in Basildon, in England, Dan trained at the Guildford School of Acting (where he won the MA Acting Prize). Now based in the South West, he works across stage and screen and has performed in a wide variety of theatrical productions; from regional tours to the West End.
Notably he appeared in the acclaimed one-man play entitled When The Eye Has Gone, Caryl Churchill's Bad Nights and Odd Days, in the national touring productions of The Height of the Storm and Clybourne Park, and Olivier award winning writer Adam Peck's stage adaptation of Oliver Twist. Dan's screen work includes EastEnders (BBC), Small Town Politics (Sky), and the films Headlights, Essex Girls and The Quiet.
As a theatre maker, Dan has a strong background in developing and devising new work, particularly as a physical performer. He is also a writer; his work including the Arts Council funded project Tomorrow the Fox and the solo play Rank.
In addition, Dan is a musician and published songwriter. Working principally as a drummer, he has written and recorded with various artists (including two studio albums with The Cheaterslicks, and the 2022 release 'Last Elevator to Spaceville' with The Kings of Outer Space).
