Russian journalist, TV host, screenwriter. In 1981, after graduating from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, he joined the State Television and Radio Committee of the USSR. Here he went through all the steps of creative growth. For seven years, the correspondent of the All-Union Radio, Sergei Medvedev, with a reporter tape recorder, has traveled to almost all areas, territories and republics of the USSR. His reports and essays on the air were very noticeable. The following is an invitation to television in the information program "Time". Here he tried himself in a variety of roles: a correspondent who hosts live broadcasts from the first congresses of people's deputies, and a political commentator, an observer of the most important events in the country. Many viewers of Channel One will probably remember Sergei Medvedev as the first presenter of the "120 minutes" program, which then turned into the morning channel "Good Morning". Sergei Medvedev was one of the first information journalists to replace the official broadcasters of the Vremya program in the broadcast studio. On August 19, 1991, on the day the coup began, Medvedev became the only television journalist who was able to tell the whole country on the air what was really happening in the capital and show the builders of the barricades. For this report, Sergei is removed from the air, but not for long - just until the resistance of the Emergency Committee is broken. Medvedev works a lot with the country's first politicians - first with Gorbachev, then with Yeltsin. He could then be called the main interviewer of the presidents. In 1995, Boris Yeltsin invites Sergei Medvedev to work as a press secretary. He passed with the president of Russia the entire dramatic election campaign of 1996.
