Stuart Morriss

Stuart Morriss is multi award winning producer and casting director, whose career in the arts and entertainment industry started in 2009, with the creation of Misty Moon Exhibitions and Events. This would eventually lead to the creation of The Misty Moon Gallery in London. Stuart curated a multitude of dark arts themed exhibitions which featured items and props from classic horror films. During his time at the gallery, he contacted Adrienne King from 'Friday the 13th', which lead to Adrienne showcasing her work at the gallery and becoming the co-founder of The Misty Moon Film Society. In later years, Misty Moon changed venues to accommodate its larger following and currently holds events at The Phoenix Artist Club in London's West End and the Cinema Museum in Kennington, where Stuart holds nostalgic film and television events, including producing over 100 performances of Robin Askwith's one man show.

In 2016, Stuart produced the critically acclaimed play 'A Day In The Lives Of Frankie Abbott' starring David Barry, which received a 5 Star review at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He also went on to produce several short films with his team at Misty Moon; casting well known and established British and American actors from cult film and television, 'After Hours', 'Frankula', 'Lost Soul, After Hours', 'Bad Friday', 'Ripper Tour', 'Ready For My Close Up' and the multi award winning 'A Hymn For Her'. In 2022, Stuart appeared in two chapters of the award-winning documentary 'Cult of VHS', in which he and his friend and illustrator, Graham Humphreys (Evil Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street), discussed growing up in the era of 'Video Nasties' in 1980's Britain. As well as producing, Morriss was also the casting director on Pareidolia using his extensive contacts in the industry.
