Derrico Thomas

Born in Houston, Texas, to an industrial engineer and administrative assistant, Derrico hoped to become an astronaut for most of his young life. He studied to become a youth pilot for a few months in hopes to join the Naval Academy. but was soon introduced to the world of theatre at the Ross Shaw Sterling High. Mentored by the esteemed Yvonne J. Philips-Dupree, he later graduated where he attended the University of Oklahoma School of Drama. After 9/11, Thomas enlisted in the US Navy to serve his country and protect his family until diagnosed with cancer and retired. Once again, his life as an actor would soon take flight.
