Traditional stories about mother-son relationships are pretty common in movies and TV shows. Regardless of the genre, pretty much every Indian movie is about how the bond between a son and his mother shaped the former’s worldview. With the rise of the superhero genre, since the journeys of the hero as well as the villain are usually defined by their family, or lack thereof, we’ve witnessed an uptick in plots centered around moms and sons.
