Alex Ganczar was born at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and was raised in Winnipeg.
She is the daughter of Carole Ganczar and Micheale Ganczar. Her back ground is Ukrainian, Polish and Scottish. She has 2 older siblings, Brother and a Sister, 2 Nieces and a Nephew.
Growing up, she always had a remarkable talent for dancing, make-up and being creative. Her dance background involved Highland, which gave her the opportunity to compete in competitions in Winnipeg city and the States. She continued with Jazz, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Burlesque, Hula and Kick boxing. She doesn't stop there, never! She started dancing at age 5, it has been her #1 passion in life. Getting her natural roots and talent from her Grandmother and Mother.
In 2002 she enrolled in Hairstyling, gaining her experience as a student, completed the program and graduated earning her Diploma.
In 2006, she enrolled at Blanche MacDonald Centre taking the Make-up Artistry program. Covering every aspect of the industry from Hairstyling & Wigs, TV & Film, Special FX and more. Graduated earning her Diploma.
Relocating back to her home town Winnipeg, M.B. where she started her career in Cosmetic Retailing, Fashion Make-up and TV & Film.
2007 applied with IASTE in Winnipeg, M.B. she worked in the Make-up Department, landing jobs here' n 'there, she has worked on films such as: Less Than Kind Make It Happen Mr. Hockey The Haunting In Connecticut
2010, she enrolled at Giselle's School of Aesthetics taking Nail Technician completing the program and graduated earning her Diploma. She did her apprenticeship in Winnipeg, MB. Collected her hours, wrote the Provincial Government exam earning her License.
In 2011, her education didn't stop there. MICHA Lashes was introduced to the market, her mother handed her the article which she located in the news paper. That was the next on her list. She enrolled in the course in Winnipeg, MB. Did her studies and completed with her Certificate.
Working on different elements and being involved in her hobbies. She started networking in TV & Film. Finally received her first phone call for a Film. From there forward opened many doors for her. She has a passion for Film, getting creative behind the scenes, and enjoys meeting new people. Her success took her far, she climbed the ladder, networked with her team, using her creative skills, landed her a job in the summer of 2009 with the Union in British Columbia with ACFC Local 2020. Position held: 2nd Assistant Hair and 2nd Assistant Make-up
Working on these films definitely gave her the real deal, learning about the film life. Her most valuable experience was when she got her call for The Haunting In Connecticut a feature film that came to Winnipeg city. Jumping through challenging hoops to get hired was an experience she'll never forget along with many other experiences. As she networked her way through TV & film she met some amazing people and other talented artists, her team saw her potential and many skills she used on set with her producers referring her as 'Alex the make up artist' for work, they love that she's spread her wings and venturing out.
Alex has a love for being creative with nails. She is a Licensed Nail Technician has a passion for being creative using her skills, was involved in it for a few years, her career doesn't end there. She plans on going far with it till she ready for something new.
Being a well rounded artist her goal in life is to pursue a long term career in British Columbia, climbing the ladder and growing with her career. Her journey doesn't end here, she plans going far with it. The skies the limit!
