    • Catherine Cunningham is the Founder and CEO of Eikosphere.LLC. Launched in 2009. Eikosphere has developed communication strategies for partners in business and government, globally.

      In 2009, Eikosphere also premiered the Eye of the Future film at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. Capturing clean energy technologies and designs from different world regions, Eye of the Future has subsequently been translated into 4 languages and has screened in various international events; like the Sustainable Business Forum in Brazil, UN Millennium Conference, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Korea, and the World Expo in China. The film was released on DVD for worldwide distribution through Cinema Libre. Catherine has interviewed over 100 global thought leaders, shot stills and video in over 1.5 years around the world with 50+ local production partners and leading sustainability organizations for various other projects, including World Wisdom for Take Part, Future Horizons for the Biodiversity Consortium and Singapore Innovation, and Rework the World for the Taellberg Forum. Most recently, Catherine directed and produced In Lak'ech Ala K'in:Code of the Heart in 3D for the UNFCCC and Mexican Government's Climate Change Conference in Cancun. Cacao Films, City Productions, Sony, RealD, and leading conservation organizations collaborated with Eikosphere on this project that won "Best of the Fest" award at the International 3D Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Catherine and her team were also responsible for designing and producing the first Living Earth Legacy multimedia dome called the Living Forest at the Climate Village, COP16.

      Since 2004 she has traveled widely and photographed professionally throughout the world. She was first featured at the Mountain Ecosystems Global Change Conference (Scotland 2005) and at the World Wilderness Congress (Alaska 2005). Since she has produced visual media for organizations and events, such as the Earth Systems Science Partnership (China, 2006), UNEP's World Environment Day (Norway 2007), Singapore's Innovation Park (2007, 2009, 2010), Stanford's Innovation Summit (2008), Poland's COP 14(2008), and Norway's Climate Change Summits (2008, 2009).

      Catherine earned her PhD studying climate impacts on high mountain ecosystems while at The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland (2006). During her academic career she chaired science conferences and symposia, published her research, directed research teams, and presented in Europe and North America.Prior to research, she taught biology, ecology, and environmental science at Denver State College, while working as an ecologist for Boulder County in Colorado. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology and International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame (UND) and an MS from Utah State University in ecology with an emphasis on forest and alpine ecosystems. While at Notre Dame she received a fellowship from the Kellogg Institute to live and to study in India.

      Catherine is a member of the National Association of Nature Photographers, Alliance for Women Directors, the International Society of Media Professionals, the Women for a Sustainable Future, the Skoll World Forum, Taellberg Forum; as well an ambassador for One World, One Ocean, 10-year multimedia campaign for MacGillveray-Freeman IMAX Films.
