Peter Hoysted

Peter Hoysted is a well-known Australian journalist and author, particularly recognized for his work in true crime and his political commentary, often under a pseudonym. Peter is the journalist behind the popular "Jack the Insider" column in The Australian newspaper. This column covers a range of topics including politics, sport, and true crime, and is known for its insider perspective and often colourful language. He has a significant background in true crime. He co-authored the book The Fine Cotton Fiasco (2019) with Pat Sheil, which tells the incredible true story of Australia's most notorious horse racing scandal. He also wrote and produced "Tough Nuts: Australia's Hardest Criminals" for Foxtel Productions in 2010.
