Sophie Vanier
Sophie began her career as a classically trained stage actor and then transitioned into film and television. Born and raised in New York, she attended the Stony Brook School and after graduation went on to Barnard College at Columbia University. She later transferred to Stony Brook University--graduating summa cum laude with a major in Theatre and a minor in French Language. During her time at SBU she was the recipient of the Tom Neumiller Scholarship for excellence in theatre performance.

Sophie went on to study at Williamstown Theatre Festival, and later with Alec Baldwin and Michael Disher in their professional acting intensive for two consecutive summers. She has also studied with Sybil Lines-former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company-for the past seven years.

In 2015, Sophie originated the role of Sarah in the world premiere of the powerful two-person play, "Bluebirds" at Guild Hall. After signing with Rogers Orion Agency for TV and Film in Los Angeles--she returned to NYC to play Lady Anne in Shakespeare's Richard III. Immediately following that production, she tackled the title role in Alice!-a brave new imagining of Alice in Wonderland-for which she won the Best Leading Actress Award in the Un-Chained Theatre Festival. She then went on to portray Shakespeare's Henry V in a gender-bending, bilingual (French/English) production staged on the battlefield at Agincourt, France to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of the historic battle.

During the summer of 2014, she had the honor of playing Hamlet in London, Stratford-upon-Avon and NYC with the Oxford Shakespeare Company. Her other stage credits include OFF-BROADWAY: Einstein (Grace Hubble); NYC: Bastard Blood (The White Queen), Weep for the Virgins (Ruby); REGIONAL: Comedy of Errors (Adriana), Company (Sarah), Cabaret (Rosie), Boy Gets Girl (Theresa), Proof (Claire), Hecuba (Hecuba), and The Three Sisters (Olga), to name a few. Her TV/Film Credits include: "Boardwalk Empire," "The Good Wife," "White Collar,""Leave Me Behind," "Hellbenders" and "Blue Bloods." She is a proud member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA and IATSE.
