Who Is Kizuna Silver in Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World?
Image
Potential spoilers for Super Sentai series: Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger, Mirai Sentai Timeranger, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters.

Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World is an isekai anime inspired by series like Super Sentai and Power Rangers. The story revolves around Kizuna Red, a Sentai Ranger who is whisked away to another fantasy world after defeating the big bad of their season's show. Red becomes an adventurer in this fantasy world and works alongside Idora, Princess Teltina, and Lowji.

The series expertly weaves together isekai genre tropes, such as gratuitous fan service, adventurer ranks, and fish-out-of-water moments, with tokusatsu tropes. This unique blend brings bombastic explosions, generic enemies, and extravagant kid-friendly action to life. The recent episodes have even introduced a classic Super Sentai trope: the sixth ranger, Tenri Nikaido — Kizuna Silver.

The 10 Modern Anime That Will Enter The Goat Conversation, Ranked
Image
Every decade delivers wonderful, popular anime for fans to remember, and with the benefit of hindsight, fans can pick out which series are the greatest of each decade. The 2000s had the original shonen "big three", along with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, so that leaves the question of what anime from the 2010s and 2020s have reached those heights. Both decades have been excellent for anime, launching a variety of series that will surely be counted among the best someday.

Fans like to call their favorite series the Goat, or "Greatest Of All Time" for the layperson, and it's a high honor that not every anime can get. In fact, any gallery of Goat anime is a highly selective club, so only the anime with the best story, sharpest production values, and deepest themes may qualify. While the jury's still out on a few recent anime, fans are still confident that in due time,...

20 Best Anime Action Movies
Image
One of the biggest trademarks of anime is its proclivity for intense action, leading to some of the greatest actions movies of all time. While many great shows have nothing to do with the genre, many of the biggest anime in history have been ones that have had a heavy focus on action, whether it be grounded in reality or the fantastical.

Feature-length anime films are often when animators are given complete time and freedom on a project, and that often leads to anime movies focused on action, which takes their stories and animation to incredible levels, especially if they were part of an ongoing franchise, and being some of the best things to watch in the entire medium. This has always been the case for old and new movies alike, with a few taking it far enough to be some of the best action-centric anime films for fans to watch.

Most Unique Isekai Anime Reincarnations, Ranked
Image
The isekai genre in anime and manga is all about the characters being sent to other worlds. In most cases, their bodies in their new environments are nothing like what they're used to, with the characters reincarnating into different forms. As the genre has continued and isekai has become more prevalent, creators have had to go to great lengths to keep the isekai genre interesting. Keeping isekai fresh is increasingly done by giving the protagonists some of the strangest and most unexpected reincarnated bodies.

Some of these weird reincarnations simply utilize the character's skill in ways that they never expected. Others change them to be completely inhuman, even relying on others to simply be mobile. While these situations might not always be optimal for the characters, the results are isekai franchises that take the genre to new heights through sheer creativity.

Poorly-Rated Anime That Don't Deserve The Hate
Image
Anime with low ratings aren't always as bad as they seem - they may deserve a second chance. Keijo!!!!!!!! unapologetically embraces fan service but offers a fun and creative story. Shows like Watamote turn social anxiety into comedy, offering a unique perspective on the struggles faced.

Anime is more popular than ever these days, with one amazing hit after the next. But while most titles are well-received by fans, not every series manages to resonate with an audience. In fact, some anime are downright hated, earning an abysmally low score on sites like MyAnimeList or IMDb. These titles are often the most infamous out there, collectively accepted as the worst of their genres.

Theres no denying that anime has had its fair share of duds over the years. From poor production causing a dip in quality to series featuring a controversial premise, the flaws in these anime are often too glaring for most to overlook.

Anime & Manga Wrestling Fans Need To Check Out
Image
Wrestling has a surprising amount in common with anime. They both feature larger-than-life heroes, villains who are capable of the most evil acts, and ridiculous fight scenes that defy comprehension. Anime and wrestling are also environments where characters can freely move between wicked whims and pure intentions without necessarily facing real-world consequences.

There's significant crossover between the themes and values in both anime and wrestling, but the similarities go even deeper. Anime has established an impressive reputation for the diverse places that it's pushed wrestling. There are grounded, patient series that focus on the basics of the sport, while others bravely turn wrestling into a chaotic free-for-all solution to the apocalypse. Between these extreme examples, there's a lot for wrestling fans to explore.

Updated on March 19th, 2024 by Sage Ashford: Anime has always specialized in telling gripping stories featuring relatable characters and epic action. It's these same ideas that make people want to watch wrestling,...

Which Anime Have Ridiculous Power Scaling?
Image
The following contains minor spoilers for various anime/manga series.

Action-oriented anime series naturally use power scaling to gradually strengthen all the characters involved. This creates exciting payoff for watching a series for so long, and it also allows a series to expand its combat system to keep things fresh. Plenty of action anime series have excellent power scaling when they gradually, smoothly raise the average power levels, with My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer being two examples. Other action series have truly ridiculous power scaling in one way or another.

For good or ill, an action anime series may have downright ridiculous power scaling when the characters become exponentially stronger and fight in an entirely different league than they used to — or several different leagues. It might feel like a total reboot of the power system, and that makes it awkward to compare a series' first few episodes and the last few episodes.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3: Plot, Cast, Release Date, and Everything Else We Know
Image
Classroom of the Elite is a one-of-a-kind anime that provides a realistic approach to the high school survival genre, which many shows have tackled previously but haven't been successful enough. For instance, while anime shows like Danganronpa, School-Live!, and Highschool of the Dead take place in a high school, they lack the unique element that the Classroom of the Elite possesses.

Having said that, even though Classroom of the Elite was adapted with the intention of selling its light novels, it was well-received by fans, becoming one of the best survival anime shows. While everyone assumed there wouldn't be a sequel after a phenomenal first season, it returned in 2022, announcing yet another season to keep fans entertained. With that in mind, here's everything we know about Classroom of the Elite season 3.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3: The Plot

Mindy Kaling in Velma (2023)
‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie’ Review: Adaptation of Anime TV Series Underwhelms
Mindy Kaling in Velma (2023)
There’s more plot and less whimsy than you might expect from a movie called “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond,” an underwhelming spinoff of the popular anime series adaptation of Fuse and Mitz Vah’s illustrated young-adult “light novel” series. This movie still resembles its source material, given its pile-on of high-fantasy characters and backstories.

Your mileage may vary depending on how much you like watching various ogres, orcs, and other magical creatures cast spells and breathlessly explain their supernatural powers’ range and limits.

Then again, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond” lacks the light touch and anything-goes humor that usually make the series’s plot seem so fleet and dynamic. This movie doesn’t even focus that much on series lead Rimuru Tempest (voiced by Miho Okasaki), a sentient water-molecule-shaped slime who, in a former life, was a human named Satoru Mikami,...
