Fabio M. Silva has been working as a professional 3D artist and VFX artist in the companies such as Epic Games, Guerrilla, Crytek, Naughty Dog, Blizzard and Striking-Distance . Most of his career is focused on creating FX for video games, but he had also done FX for commercials and short films. He has also worked as a freelance character artist and illustrator. After accepting an employment offer by Naughty Dog, Sony Entertainment in 2015, he moved to Santa Monica, California.
He received a Visual effects society award for his work in Uncharted 4, and was nominated two other times.
His passion for video-games started since he was a little child from the times of Gameboy, and then that passion grew a lot deeper, due to Blizzard Entertainment games, Final Fantasy series, and Metalgear franchise.
He received his bachelors in Film-Directing in the year 2008, at Moderna University Portugal, where he received a 1st place award for one of his projects for screenplay and directing and a second 1st place award for producing another project.
Fabio also teaches VFX in several different VFX institutions.
