Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Vivienne holds a Master of Creative Arts (in classical/opera singing) from the University of Newcastle, Australia. As a classical artist, she has studied with eminent vocal coaches, including renowned Australian conductor Richard Gill.
Vivienne has studied acting at NIDA (Sydney), the Howard Fine Acting Studio (L.A.), and Ted Brunetti Studio (L.A.). She has also studied Improv with Bill Applebaum of the Actors Improv Studio (L.A.) and Alexander Technique/Animal Studies with the esteemed Jean-Louis Rodrigue in Los Angeles.
Vivienne's background in the performing arts is diverse, having been an opera singer (Opera Australia, Pacific Opera), concert artist (Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven Societies of Australia & Japan, Symphony of Australia), cabaret performer (solo show Sentimental Journey, Seymour Centre, Sydney), musical theatre performer (Sydney Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Savoy Arts Company), as well as an actress in TV and film (Ugly Benny, Beautiful Destroyer, Khali the Killer).
Vivienne can be seen in the role of Bertie's Mom in Seasons 1 and 3 of Judd Apatow's Love (Netflix), the sultry Lilian Fleet in season 8 of Shameless (Showtime), and as Old Rhonda in The Last Anniversary (Binge/AMC), starring Miranda Richardson and Teresa Palmer and produced by Nicole Kidman's Blossom Films.
In 2016, Vivienne played Susan in Ruben Guthrie for the Australian Theatre Company in Los Angeles. For her work, she received a Broadway World nomination. Other theatre credits include Bridget in Bridget and Iain (Short + Sweet, Hollywood), Hope in Almost, Maine (Between the Buildings, Melbourne), and Linda in the world premiere of You Are the Blood (Spinning Plates, Melbourne).
On the international front, Vivienne was the lead in the haunting, award-winning short, Song From A Blackbird, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014; as well as the heartbreaking Bridget and Iain, as a mother struggling with her son's addiction. In Le Miroir, which won numerous international awards, Vivienne was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 2020 New York/Long Island Film Festival for her transformation into the enigmatic Hungarian opera singer, Madame B.
The culmination of Vivienne's lifetime of work in the performing arts is her solo theatre play, DIVA, which premiered to much acclaim in Los Angeles in November 2024.
