Cody Greenwood is the founder of Rush Films. Her most recent films include the Universal Pictures documentary 'Under the Volcano' which premiered at SXSW and was nominated for 'Best Australian Documentary' at the Sydney Film Festival. Distributed globally by Universal Pictures, the film tells the story of the legendary Beatles producer Sir George Martin and AIR Studios, the recording studio he built in the Caribbean in the 1980's.
In 2025 Cody won the Australian Academy Award (AACTA) 'Best Documentary' for Stan Original documentary 'Otto by Otto', directed by Gracie Otto.
Most recently, Cody has produced 'Birthright' with director Zoe Pepper. The script was the recipient of Screenwest's premium West Coast Visions $750,000 production grant, and premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival and Sydney Film Festival, with a theatrical release set for late 2025. The film has been announced as a Cinefest Oz $100,000 film prize finalist.
Cody also produced Stan Original 'Revealed: Renee Gracie', directed by award winning filmmakers Frances Elliott and Samantha Marlowe, which won the Australian Directors Guild Award in 2025. She also produced Frances and Samantha's award-winning documentary 'Girl Like You', which follows the raw and intimate journey of a young woman as she watches her partner transition from male to female. The documentary is streaming on Netflix and won the Australian Writer's Guild and Australian Screen Editors Award for best broadcast documentary.
Cody began her career in London before moving to LA to join the late Heath Ledger's production company, The Masses. At The Masses, she production managed content for the Museum of Contemporary Art and developed TV projects for leading US Networks, including MTV.
Cody is a strong advocate for the Australian screen industry. She has served as Co-President of Women In Film & TV (WIFT) Western Australia and on the Advisory Board of the Screen Forever Conference.
