After hosting Survivor for more than 20 years, Jeff Probst has become almost synonymous with the show. He has played an important role in keeping the show popular, but as time passes, the reality is that he won’t be able to host forever. The host is currently 63 years old and has always maintained a healthy and active lifestyle. But the demanding job of hosting Survivor, especially in harsh conditions like the hot and challenging climates takes a physical toll.

So, the big question is who will step in to fill Jeff Probst’s shoes when the time comes for him to step down? One name that keeps coming up is Andrea Boehlke, a familiar face to Survivor fans.

Survivors Phillip Sheppard Was Upset By How He Was Treated By His Tribemates
Image
When new Survivor fans are still figuring out which seasons to watch first, they will likely quickly notice Jeff Probst and the reality show's best players. After that, those same fans are likely to best remember the players who won the game and anyone who was medically evacuated. However, fans who've seen and ranked every season will recognize that Phillip Sheppard is also one of the show's most memorable players ever.

Unfortunately for Phillip, he has revealed how much Survivor traumatized him and spoke out about "Boston" Rob being set up to win their season. If that wasn't awful enough, it turns out that Phillip also expressed his frustrations with how he was treated when he made it to the final tribal council.

Rome Cooney Getting Voted Out Could Ruin Survivor 47
Image
Looking back at the history of Survivor, it is very easy to argue that it is the best reality show ever. After all, there have been many great seasons, the show has featured fantastic players, Jeff Probst is a celebrated host, and many fans love a lot of the winners. If that wasn't enough, even fans who are figuring out which seasons to watch first will recognize the strategy and the danger that can even cause medical evacuations.

With all that in mind, many fans know that Survivor isn't dependent on any single player to keep going. However, Rome Cooney's exit could make Survivor 47 a lot less entertaining, especially after the end of the season's biggest feud.

Why Rome Cooney's Elimination Could Make Survivor 47 Become Boring

During the first six episodes of Survivor 47, it felt like it might be the best season of the new era. There has been a lot of interesting gameplay,...

Survivor Fans Think They Have Unearthed A Post-Showmance Between Two Former Winners
Image
Fans are buzzing about a potential showmance between Wendell Holland and Dee Valladares, both former Survivor winners. Holland confessed to a breakup and revealed his involvement with Valladares, expressing remorse for his actions. Despite controversy, fans defended their right to privacy, speculating on a possible return to Survivor for both Holland and Valladares.

Showmances tend to make up some of the most entertaining moments of reality TV, and Survivor is no different. The excitement that comes with two players falling for each other in the full view of the world is unmatched, but fans felt they found one blossoming away between two former winners.

There is arguably no greater Survivor love story than that between Season 8 winner Amber Brkich and Boston Rob Mariano, deemed in some quarters as the best player of all time. He also got the chance to come back and emerge victorious in Survivor: Redemption Island (Season...

Andrea Boehlke Suffered Severe Health Issues After Difficult Working Conditions On Survivor
Image
Survivor contestants face health risks beyond what viewers see, as evidenced by Andrea Boehlke's hospitalization after kidney infection. Boehlke's Survivor experience led to long-term health effects. Despite her health struggles post-Survivor, Boehlke still values her experience on the show.

When people agree to compete during a season of Survivor, they typically envision all the reasons why things will go right. What those competitors often don't consider is that things easily could go wrong. For example, they could become one of Survivor's biggest villains and even a former winner seemingly was banned from the show.

After new Survivor fans watch the best seasons to introduce them to the show, they will also realize that the show's stars can be severely injured. What fans won't realize if they only watch the show, however, is how sick Andrea Boehlke became after filming Survivor.

This article will reveal the serious health...

How ‘The Other Two’ Cameos Became New York’s Hottest Club
Image
Editor’s Note: The following interview took place before HBO confirmed “The Other Two” would end with Season 3 and The Hollywood Reporter revealed that showrunners Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider were the subject of an Hr investigation.

“The Other Two” may have definitively ended at HBO Max, but the series’ star-studded celebrity roster unique and untouchable. Season 3 included appearances from Simu Liu, Fin Argus, Ann Dowd, Edie Falco, Ben Platt, Dylan O’Brien, Lukas Gage, Kiernan Shipka, Lawrence O’Donnell, Spike Einbinder, Andrea Boehlke, and Dana Delany — some as themselves, others as hyperspecific characters.

In their three seasons with the show, casting directors Allison Estrin and Henry Russell found the right balance in casting the very meta, very weird, but beloved cult series created by Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider. In a joint Zoom interview with IndieWire, Estrin and Russell talked about the unique logistics of their roles, a balance between planning...

‘The Other Two’ Ending with Season 3 Amid Reports of Hr Investigation
Image
“The Other Two” is coming to a close after three seasons amid reports of a toxic workplace.

The beloved and critically acclaimed series will conclude with its current third season, making the June 29 episode the series finale. “The Other Two” was created by former “SNL” writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, who shared a press statement clarifying the decision to end after Season 3 was not due to being canceled.

However, The Hollywood Reporter credited sources saying there were “multiple staff complaints” about showrunners Kelly and Schneider over the course of the production. Per the THR report, the Hr complaints stemmed from behavior on set and in the writers’ room, including allegations that Kelly “verbally abused writers and overworked crew and claims that Schneider enabled his behavior.”

A source tells IndieWire that the report was unfounded and not connected to the series ending. Max representatives did not provide comment to THR.

‘The Other Two’ To End With Season 3 At Max; Creators Say “This Was Where We Wanted To End Their Stories”
Image
The Other Two, the comedy series starring Heléne Yorke, Drew Tarver and Molly Shannon, is coming to a close with its third season on Max.

However, rather than being canceled, the decision was made by Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, co-creators of the buzzy comedy, who said that they have run out of ways to “humiliate” Tarver.

“It is bittersweet to say goodbye to the Dubek family after three seasons, but we always knew, both creatively and personally, that this was where we wanted to end their stories,” the pair said. “And because we are quite literally out of ways to humiliate Drew Tarver, so what’s the point?”

The move comes ahead of the third-season finale, which sees Shannon’s billionaire mogul mom Pat and her ex-lover/manager Streeter (Ken Marino) strategize how to broach difficult conversations with her kids, Cary (Tarver) and Brooke (Yorke). The episode airs Thursday,...

‘The Other Two’ Season 3 Trailer: The Industry Satire Is Back to Make Our (Chase) Dreams Come True
Image
Forget about the Disgusting Brothers: Welcome back to the Despicable Twins of Max’s “The Other Two.”

The long-awaited Season 3 of the hit satirical series deepens its disdain for Hollywood, with siblings Brooke (Heléne Yorke) and Cary (Drew Tarver) grappling with finding meaning in their respective rising entertainment industry careers. Cary finally gets a bit of fame after his long-awaited breakout role in indie drama “Night Nurse” airs, while Brooke keeps cornering her marketing gig. Of course, both Cary and Brooke are still in the shadow of their Justin Bieber-esque pop star younger brother ChaseDreams (Case Walker) and TV mogul mother (Molly Shannon).

Per the official Season 3 synopsis, after comparing themselves for years to their much-younger pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Walker), who is now a full adult, and their talk show host mother (Shannon), who’s now more powerful than she could have ever imagined, Brooke and Cary (Yorke...

Survivor: Best Jury Reactions to Blindsides
Image
Throughout its two-decade run, the jury on Survivor has had memorable reactions to blindsides at tribal council. Each season usually has 7-10 jurors, and their facial expressions during discussions and votes at tribal council have been consistently featured. Some of their guises were immortalized in GIFs and used as household reaction memes.

Jurors are Survivor players who were eliminated around the beginning of the merge. The most recent season, Survivor 43, was notable for the jury's reaction to Jesse's betrayal of Cody. They are not allowed to speak during tribal council, which emphasizes their facial expressions and overall demeanor. Although their reactions are usually for vote results, there have been memorable jury reactions to the pre-voting phase of the tribal council. Jurors may roll their eyes or laugh at a player's statement, smile with delight, shake their heads in disbelief, or drop their jaws in shock. Below are some of the...

Survivor : États-Unis (2000)
‘Survivor’ losers: 16 lovable contestants ranked include Cirie Fields, Rupert Boneham, Rob Cesternino
Survivor : États-Unis (2000)
“Survivor” superfans are currently hyped for the upcoming all-winners season, but it’s not always the case that the most popular contestant of the season is the one who wins. In fact, the audience tends to fall in love with those who just come up short of the $1 million prize, often more so than the champion. Players like Rupert Boneham, Cirie Fields and Joe Anglim will probably never win “Survivor,” no matter how many times they come back and try. Their likability is a double-edged sword — they’re genial enough to be safe through several Tribal Councils but once it gets toward the end, they’re too big of a jury threat to win. As we prepare for “Survivor: Winners at War,” here’s the ranking of our 16 favorite lovable losers we hoped would make it onto an all-winner season someday.

Islands in the ‘Survivor’ stream: Exile, Redemption, Ghost or Extinction — which one is your fave? [Poll]
Survivor : États-Unis (2000)
Like most long-running reality TV shows, twist and turns in the format regularly happen. On “Survivor,” which has been on CBS since 2000, the behind-the-scene masterminds often like to isolate players away from the other castaways and test their mettle. They have used the concept of “island” twists four times. The current 38th season introduces probably the most stressful option yet — “Extinction Island.” The show is intentionally hiding what is expected of players who land there. But that got us thinking about how, at least so far, you think it compares to the other “Survivor’s” other three islands — Exile, Redemption and Ghost. Below, refresh your memories about what each island involved and then vote in our poll for your favorite.

Reza Attaran in Red Carpet (2014)
