Paola Barrientos is an Argentine actress known for her work in theater, television, and film. She was raised in San Fernando, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and pursued acting studies after finishing high school. Initially rejected by the Escuela Metropolitana de Arte Dramático, she was admitted after a subsequent audition. Barrientos began her career performing in underground theater productions, including plays such as 3-ex, Teo con Julia, and Exhibición y desfile. Her role in the play Estado de ira led to further theatrical opportunities and caught the attention of established actress Marilú Marini, who invited her to join the Complejo Teatral, where Barrientos starred in the successful production Las criadas.

Barrientos gained wider recognition through a popular advertising campaign for Banco Galicia, which parodied the film Titanic and featured her in a memorable comedic role. This exposure helped her transition to television, where she secured a prominent role in the 2012 telenovela Graduados as Victoria Lauría, a performance that earned her critical acclaim and industry awards, including the Martín Fierro Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Tato Award for Supporting Actress in Daily Fiction. She continued to build her career with roles in film and television, winning the Silver Condor Award for Best Female Revelation for her work in Ciencias naturales (2014).

Throughout her career, Barrientos has been noted for her professionalism and adaptability across mediums. She ended her long-running association with the Banco Galicia advertisements in 2018, choosing to step away after nearly a decade.
