Ian Burrell(I)

IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Ian Burrell is a rapper/singer/actor, born in 1971 in London, England, and former singer and songwriter with the band The Dude. He teamed up with music producer Regis Decatillion in 1999 to produced pop music for a small French record label called L'Attitude. Two years later the Dude recorded the song "Rock da Juice", and it was signed up by Universal publishing. In 2001 Sony requested that the song be used on their new PlayStation game, Splashdown (2001). In 2002, the same song would be requested for Hollywood blockbuster Scooby-Doo (2002). It was after this success that Burrell and Decatillion decided to record an album called "The Dude" which included several successful songs such as "Get Giggy" (used in the movie Les petits braqueurs (2004)) and "Be Happy" (used by retail giant Target throughout Australia). Burrell dramatically switched industries in 2006 from singing to the spirits industry, becoming the world's first Rum Ambassador.
