Beverlie Austine Fernandes is a passionate and strong willed, ambitious
woman who works towards what she wants.
Moving to Abu Dhabi in 1999, along with her parents and two sisters, helped nurture the passion for the creative arts that runs in her family. She says, "Ever since quitting the everyday boring, non-stimulating, desk job at a highly reputed international organization, it has been a creative outburst". From a young age Beverlie has always known she wanted to work in Entertainment. Growing up on all kinds of music from Country to Classical to Jazz and Blues, she has been a finalist in many vocal competitions in the UAE.
Acting was another passion and she enrolled in the intensive course by Michelle Danner in Dubai 2009, where she met casting director Miranda Davidson of Miranda Davidson Studios. Beverlie also won an Acting Scholarship at the New York Film Academy in Abu Dhabi 2013. Training under the best of from LA and NYC. It was a great experience as it was going back to school after 3 years of working full time on professional sets in front of and behind the camera.
Makeup was just something picked up when her cousin moved in which a huge makeup kit. Ever since then friends and family have made her a default makeup artist for any occasion for the last 10 years. It was her way of 'infiltrating' the industry", she says. Learning other skills by just being on set. Beverlie is a self taught expert in Special Effects (SFX). She has worked as a Make-up Artist very closely with New York Film Academy (Abu Dhabi) and its students and other productions in Dubai and India. Also worked on short films as an Actor, Producer, Assistant Director and Key Makeup and Wardrobe. She was also an Assistant Makeup Artist on "Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol" - Dubai crew.
