Dee Kelly Barrett was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Samuel and Barbara Kelly. Dee grew up in the Silverton area of Cincinnati. Dee studied Business Administration in Management at North Carolina A & T State University. After 28 years working in Corporate and County Government and while still working with County Government, in 2006, she signed with Katalyst, LLC to represent her. In 2010 she moved to Los Angeles to study with Ivana Chubbuck. She worked on many films like Get Low, The Crazies, The Blindside, Why Did I Get Married Too, Red and Middle of Nowhere. Also, a true story documentary of the Deborah "Tripp Peagler story in Crime After Crime... Recently, Dee has become the Creator and Executive Producer of her first TV Comedy Sitcom Pilot called Mason 2 Mason.
