Milo Shandel is an award-winning actor and director whose career has gone from stages all over North America to film and television screens the world over. He is perhaps best known as the pompously clueless 'Principal Tater' on the YTV/Disney XD hit youth sitcom Mr. Young, for which he was nominated 3 consecutive years for the Leo Award for best performance in a program for youth or children. Most recently, he has appeared in many Hallmark movies and on episodic shows such as Batwoman, A Miliion Little Things and The Baby-Sitters Club. Feature films include Bong-Jo Hoon's Okja, and the upcoming Ryan Reynolds movie, The Adam Project. As a director, he has helmed multiple episodes of youth sitcoms, The Stanley Dynamic, and Some Assembly Required for which he received a Leo award nomination for best director. Coming in 2021 will be the DGC Greenlight fund-winning short film, Quarantine Fling. Milo began his career in the theatre, having performed on stages throughout The US, Canada, and even Mexico in everything from Shakespeare to ABBA; hundreds-of-thousands were entertained by his 6-year run as Bill Austin 'The Awesome Aussie' in the North American Tour of Mamma Mia! Milo also spent time at The Stratford Festival in Ontario. Milo is a proud graduate of Ryerson Theatre School. He and his wife, actress and writer Christine Oddy, live in Vancouver and have three wonderful sons.
