Exclusive: Filmmaker Rodney Ascher has signed with Anonymous Content for representation.
Ascher is coming off the SXSW premiere of Ghost Boy, his latest critically acclaimed documentary feature, which won the festival’s Audience Award. The film tells the remarkable story of Martin Pistorius — a man who battled locked-in syndrome for 12 years. Pic is a companion piece to The Nightmare, a Sundance-premiering 2015 doc that he directed about people suffering from sleep paralysis.
Up next, on the scripted side, Ascher is attached to direct Your Favorite Band Cannot Save You, based on the book of the same name by Scotto Moore, with David Whitney and Ross Seigel producing.
