Ali Chappell is a Toronto-based director, writer, actor, and genre specialist whose work spans cult horror, dark fantasy, and experimental storytelling.
After training in classical performance, she broke out with iconic roles in Full Moon's Necropolis: Legion and the award-winning Space Vampire. She has since taken the reins behind the camera, writing and directing her short Verified, which earned the Wicked Shorts Jury Award at Salem Horror Fest and the Jury Prize for Best Directorial Debut at the Houston Horror Film Festival.
Her latest short, Peaches (2025), continues her exploration of bold, female-led horror, while her anthology segment Mother of All Frogs-the opening piece in God of Frogs-earned Best International Film at the Chicago Horror Film Festival.
As a producer, she's worked on festival favorite The Clapboard Jungle, and multiple genre titles under the Full Moon banner including It Knows You're Alone and Scream of the Blind Dead.
Known for her physical presence, satirical bite, and love of all things blood-splattered, Ali continues to develop genre projects for both screen and stage-fusing camp, chaos, and craft.
