Biography

    • Jeremy Dylan is an Australian born, Nashville-based filmmaker and journalist.

      Dylan wrote and directed his first feature "Benjamin Sniddlegrass and the Cauldron of Penguins" in 2010, narrated by legendary comic writer/actor Stephen Fry.

      His first feature documentary, "Jim Lauderdale: The King of Broken Hearts aired on Australia's Country Music Channel", premiered at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville and at the Grammy Museum in LA. It charts the life and career of Grammy-winning Americana pioneer Jim Lauderdale and features a cast including Elvis Costello and Buddy Miller. It was released in 2014.

      Dylan's latest feature project is a the documentary "Tommy Emmanuel: The Endless Road", a documentary film about guitar icon Tommy Emmanuel, current playing film festivals around the globe.

      Dylan has directed numerous music videos for artists as varied as ARIA-winning country stars The McClymonts and British cult icon Robyn Hitchcock. In 2018, he was nominated for a Golden Guitar Award for Music Video of the Year and a CMC Music Award for Australian Music Video of the Year, and in was again nominated for the 2019 Golden Guitar Award for Music Video of the Year.

      In 2014, Ih launched the podcast My Favorite Album. Each episode I talk to a different guest about an album they love and how it's influenced them. Over almost 300 episodes and five years, he has spoken to legends from Neil Finn (Crowded House) to Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers), as well as some of today's most respected stars, like Jason Isbell and Kacey Musgraves.

      He also a photographer and print journalist, for magazines including Country Music Capital News and Rhythms magazine, where he has profiled artists from Shania Twain to Sturgill Simpson.
