    • Judy trained at Central at age 18, then went on to work in Repertory and Children's Theatre, until she started a family. Later she returned to the industry in 2009, and her first theatre job, this time as an older actor, was in 2010 in Kindly Leave the Stage in Wells Next the Sea in Norfolk. Since then she's been in many theatre and outdoor theatre productions, roles including Miss Prism, Lady Bracknell, Nell in Endgame, the Prioress in The Monk, Anne in Nothing Else Ever, The Stoic in The Blind, Mary in The Bald Prima Donna, Maria Josefa in The House of Bernarda Alba, Nikolka in Boris Godunov, ensemble in 252AM in the Vaults, and other new writing roles at the Criterion, The Park Theatre, Jermyn Street Theatre and the White Bear. In January 2023 she had 2 roles in Norman Balon It's All True at the Shaftesbury Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue. Shakespeare roles have been in Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing and Winter's Tale. Most of her work though since 2009 has been in film. She's appeared in many short films and a number of feature films - Monster Portal, The Surgeon, The Killing Tree among them. The Demonic Fae, filmed in 2022, will be premiered in 2023. Most recently, Judy played Alice in One Last Waltz at the Bridge House Theatre in London, which had 4 star reviews. ...one of which said "Judy Tcherniak as Alice simply steals the show with her understated performance, making the heart-breaking moments all the more real". She is represented by The Production Exchange.
