Aleto (formerly Alejandro Torres Menchaca) is a Mexican actor, writer, and producer whose work in film and television explores themes of identity, emotional vulnerability, and personal freedom. He starred in the feature film Pecado Original (Original Sin), a U.S.-Paraguay co-production that earned international attention and a nomination at the Milan International Filmmaker Festival. The role marked his debut as a lead in a feature film, highlighting his talent for complex, emotionally layered characters.
Aleto is also the creator of Doñas y Señoras, a musical dramedy that blends comedy, music, and sharp social commentary to celebrate female friendship and cultural resilience in Mexico. His work is known for its bold vision, emotional depth, and commitment to representing underexplored voices.
Originally from Guadalajara, he began his career in stand-up and theater before moving to Los Angeles, where he trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute under David Strasberg. He later received a full scholarship to the Stella Adler Academy of Acting, joining the legacy of renowned alumni such as Benicio del Toro and Mark Ruffalo. His stage work includes productions of Titus Andronicus, Angels in America, Largo Desolato, and The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui.
Now based in New York, Aleto continues to develop projects that reflect his passion for storytelling and his dedication to authentic, culturally rich narratives.
