Seven Below is the latest horror thriller from Kevin Carraway (The Fear Chamber). This is a ghost story starring Val Kilmer, Ving Rhames and Luke Goss. A group of travellers find themselves tormented by spirits in an isolated cabin. And a storm outside means that there is no way to escape. The first poster for Seven Below solidifies this haunting, trapped feeling.
Seven Below will be shown at the American Film Market, which is the largest gathering of independent films during the year (in North America). The festival begins November 2nd this year, with Seven Below showing November 5th. Hopefully, this title will find distribution at its World Premiere as horror fans could likely use a few more chills in their lives.

Competently acted slasher lacks a basic understanding of how to utilize the tools that are at its disposal. Part of what makes a slasher suspenseful is that foreplay where the antagonists stalk the protagonists from afar slowly picking off victims until the characters fully discover what is going on. Instead "The Anniversary at Shallow Creek" skips all that and gets right to the action. Doing so, it missed out on opportunities to create tension.
