- He studied animation formally for the first time at the University of Texas, at Austin, in 2011. Up until that moment he had learned about film making and animation from online tutorials, DVD extras and countless hours watching movies.
- Graduated in Marine Biology in 2005.
- Won the award for "Best Young Director" at Fantasporto and Cinanima 2011 and "Best Director" at Bragacine 2011, for his first short, "Bats in the Belfry".
