    • Ribhu Dasgupta, 35, is an Indian film and television director. He made his directorial debut with the Indian psychological thriller, Michael, in 2011.

The filmmaker started out by exploring his father, Raja Dasgupta's sets, thereby feeling the pulse of cinema in his formative years. After shifting to Mumbai, Ribhu started working with Anurag Kashyap, who later on produced Michael, along with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film officially entered the Toronto International Film Festival in 2011; Category - World Contemporary Cinema. Since then it has traveled to many prestigious festivals like Berlin International Film Festival, London Asian Film Festival (Opening Film), Shanghai International Film Festival (Asia's New Talent Award - Competition Category), Stuttgart Indian Film Festival, Germany and Open Doek Film Festival, Brussels, to name a few. Renowned International Sales Agent, Fortissimo Films picked up Michael for its international sales and distribution.

In 2013-2014, Ribhu directed YUDH, India's one-of-its-kind TV Mini Series, for Sony Entertainment Channel India Pvt. Ltd, which was creatively produced by Anurag Kashyap along with Endemol India Pvt.

Ribhu went on to direct the critically acclaimed feature film TE3N in 2016, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddique and Vidya Balan. Sujoy Ghosh, Endemol India and Reliance Big Entertainment produced it.

His recent project involves Netflix India's biggest web series, Bard of Blood, starring Emran Hashmi and produced by Shah Rukh Khan's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. Receiving critical acclaim for his work worldwide, Ribhu Dasgupta has become one of the rising filmmakers in the country.
