In an excerpt from his upcoming memoir, Spare, and obtained by NBC News, the Duke of Sussex reveals that King Charles III broke the news to him and his then-15-year-old brother, Prince William, while they were at Balmoral in Scotland. Princess Diana — along with her lover, Dodi Fayed, and their driver — died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. She was 36.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their Christmas card on Friday and it features the couple at the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award Gala from earlier this month in New York City. Meghan and Harry, who were among the gala’s honorees that also included late NBA legend Bill Russell and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, looked dashing in a stunning white strapless dress and a black tuxedo.

The black and white photo featured on the Gif card was sent via an Archewell Foundation email.

The final three episodes of Harry & Meghan dropped yesterday. In the episodes, Prince Harry opened up about his brother Prince William, saying that the rift that divides them is the “saddest thing.”

Harry alleges that he was terrified when William “screamed and shouted” at him in a family meeting where he and Meghan Markle proposed being “half in” and “half out” with their duties, meaning the couple would have their own jobs but also work to support the Queen.

“It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father saying things that just simply weren’t true, and my grandmother quietly sit there and sort of take it all in,” he said.

The final episodes of the documentary also explore how William bullied the couple out of the royal family, sent a text to Harry after his Oprah interview and traded negative press stories about his brother.

Netflix dropped volume II of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s docuseries, “Harry & Meghan”, on Thursday and this time around Harry’s relationship with his brother, Prince William is at the forefront. In the series’ final three episodes, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex open up about their exit from royal life, with Harry claiming his brother, Prince William, screamed and shouted at him after he and Meghan decided to step away from their royal duties.

Et spoke with royal expert Katie Nicholl who weighed in on how the docuseries will affect the possibility of a reconciliation between the brothers, who have not been on good terms.

“Well, I think that given the allegations that Harry has made in the latest three episodes of this docuseries are so personal towards his brother, I think it really does set back any chance of a rift for the foreseeable future,” Nicholl shared.

A source tells Et that the royal family was never asked for comment regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s newly released Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan”.

The first three episodes dropped on Thursday, and started off with a disclaimer that reads, “Members of the Royal Family declined to comment on the content within this series.”

“That is incorrect. Neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace nor any members of the royal family were approached for comment on the content of the series,” a source close to the royal family tells Et in regard to the disclaimer. “[The Palace] is not aware of any such approach for comment.”

King Charles III’s crown is prepping for an historic moment. On Saturday, Buckingham Palace announced that the monarch’s St. Edward’s Crown has been removed from the Tower of London in preparation for the Coronation set to take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London.

“The King will be crowned with St Edward’s Crown during the Coronation Service at @Wabbey on 6 May 2023. Made for King Charles II in 1661, the Crown has been removed from the Tower of London to allow for resizing work to begin ahead of the Coronation,” the tweet from the official royal family account read.

Charles’ crown was first commissioned in 1661 and is made up of a solid gold frame set with rubies, amethysts, sapphires, garnet, topazes and tourmalines. The crown has a velvet cap with an ermine band. Like the original, the crown includes four crosses-pattée and four fleurs-de-lis, and two arches.

King Charles III is preparing for his coronation in May 2023 by hitting the ground running and not slowing down.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl tells Et that His Royal Highness, 74, loaded up his schedule even before the official coronation, which is set to take place May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London and conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

“Well, it was always the king’s intention to hit the ground running and I think we absolutely have seen him do that,” Nicholl tells Et. “He’s traveled tirelessly around the country. He’s preparing for a series of tours, both before his coronation on May 6 and after the coronation. So, he’s really putting down the markers of his new reign. He’s wasted no time in getting to work.”

Some of that early work includes requesting that his sister and younger brother — Princess Anne, 72, and Prince Edward, 58 — be made Counsellors of State.

Et recently sat down with royal expert Katie Nicholl, who helped shine some light on what the princes may be struggling with when it comes to season 5 of “The Crown”, which largely covers the 1990s — a particularly tumultuous and dark time for the family.

“I think this series is going to be quite uncomfortable viewing, not just for [Queen Consort] Camilla and [King] Charles but also for William and Harry,” Nicholl explained. “Scenes leading up to their mother’s death are going to be very, very uncomfortable for them.”

Princess Diana died in a shocking car crash in Paris in 1997, at the age of 36. At the time, William and Harry were 15 and 12, respectively.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t get the U.K. home they were hoping for, according to a tell-all new book.

Katie Nicholl’s The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown suggests Harry and Meghan wanted to move into a suite of apartments at Windsor Castle but were instead given Frogmore Cottage.

Nicholl writes in an extract first published in the Mail on Sunday: “When Harry and Meghan announced their wish to move out of Kensington Palace, the Queen offered them Frogmore Cottage in Windsor Great Park as their new home.”

Queen Elizabeth II may have sadly died of a broken heart, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl.

The author of The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown claimed the Queen was never the same after the death of her beloved husband, Prince Philip, and struggled to go on without him after he died.

Nicholl said, “She was never the same after Philip went… He was, she said, her strength and stay. He supported her in everything she did in life.”

The Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9, 2021, at Windsor Castle, and his funeral service was held on April 17 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Buckingham Palace announced on Saturday that Queen Elizabeth II‘s final resting place has a new ledger stone at the King George VI Memorial Chapel.

The Palace released a new photo of the ledger stone, which the Palace says is made of hand-carved Belgian black marble with brass letter inlays to match the previous ledger stone installed in the chapel. The memorial chapel sits within the walls of St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The new ledger stone now reads the late monarch’s name as well as her late husband, Prince Philip (1921-2021), and her late parents — King George VI (1895-1952) and Queen Elizabeth (1900-2002).
