‘Mister Seeing’ Trailer – Bill Fellows, Laurence R. Harvey, Richard Brake Star in Supernatural Horror Film
Image
The dead don’t lie in Mister Seeing, an upcoming indie supernatural horror film from the UK.

Bill Fellows (“Ted Lasso”) stars as respected TV and film actor Brian Woodland, who is struggling to keep it together after the recent death of his mother, a marriage on the rocks, and an increasing alcohol problem, whilst also being tormented by visions of the dead.

Now his agent has found him a voice-over gig for a documentary about a group of unsolved child murders… but instead of falling deeper into depression, he decides to use his “gift” and try to solve the murders himself by visiting old crime scenes and speaking to the dead victims.

Laurence R. Harvey (The Human Centipede 2), Jacob Anderton, Frances McNamee, Samantha Bell, Dylan Barnes, Alex Brockdorff (Warfare), and Richard Brake (Barbarian) round out the cast.

“We aim to make a multi-genre feature heavily influenced by Stephen King...

‘Ship of the Damned’ VOD Review
Image
Stars: Hannaj Bang Bendz, Jacob Anderton, Martyn Luke, Sean Tizzard, Ben Manning, Vicki Glover | Written and Directed by Steve Lawson

Ship of the Damned opens with a brief prologue set on board a pirate ship in 1622. As the ship sails through a storm, the crew prepare for dinner. Which for them means rather tamely hacking a bound woman to death and eating her raw flesh. In the present, Elena has her martial arts training interrupted by a phone call from her ex, Michael. He hasn’t taken the breakup well and keeps finding reasons to call her, but this time it’s legit, even if it doesn’t sound like it.

The Coast Guard have found what appears to be a seventeenth-century sailing ship drifting off the coast and towed it into port. Since she’s an expert in such things, he’d like her to come down and be part of the investigation.

Sam Fender’s brother Liam releases his debut single
Sam Fender
Sam Fender’s older brother Liam Fender has released his debut single.

The long-time musician released “Love Will Conquer” on Friday (28 October). The track is accompanied by a semi-autobiographical music video filmed in North Shields, and starring the actor Jacob Anderton.

News of the single comes with the announcement of Liam’s first ever hometown show at Riverside in Newcastle on Thursday 8 December.

The song’s “universal message of togetherness, belief in better times, and the importance of connection has only grown more poignant amid the turbulence of recent years”, Liam said on the new single.

“Love Will Conquer” is an optimistic take on the world, with the video showing Anderton working during the day and then performing to uninterested audiences in the evenings.

Liam himself also features in the video singing in the pub scattered between shots of Anderton.

“It’s a story that a lot of people in...

‘Shakespeare in Love’ Star Simon Callow Boards Heist Film ‘The Pay Day’ (Exclusive)

“Shakespeare in Love” star Simon Callow has joined the cast of indie heist movie “The Pay Day,” Variety can reveal.

‘Ripper Untold’ DVD Review
Image
Stars: Phil Molloy, Jonathan Hansler, Chris Bell, Jacob Anderton, Sylvia Robson | Written and Directed by Steve Lawson

Ripper Untold is writer/director Steve Lawson’s fourth consecutive film with a historical setting after Bram Stoker’s Van Helsing, Saltwater: The Battle for Ramree Island and The Haunting of Alcatraz. And like them, it was filmed on a very limited budget. Can Lawson manage to make it work this time and not end up with another boring talkfest?

Whitechapel 1888. The body of a young woman is found, her throat slashed and body mutilated. Inspector Rees (Phil Molloy; Outlawed) goes to work trying to track down the killer. He’s aided by the coroner, Thomas Locque, a man who’s battling his own demons. And who seems to have known the victim, and several of her fellow working girls.

As the bodies begin to pile up so do the suspects. Apart from Locque,...
