Jennifer Lauren Seward was born in Independence, Missouri. She appeared in her first theater production in seventh grade and continued her pursuit throughout high school; ending her senior year on a high note by winning a Cappie Award for Best Ensemble in a Play. While in college, she transitioned to acting for the camera and filmmaking, which she has pursued professionally ever since. She graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a bachelor's degree in communication studies, a minor in theater, and a minor in sociology.

Jennifer has been a regular in the Kansas City market, acting and crewing for numerous projects over the years. She has also been involved in promoting the Kansas City entertainment industry by serving on the boards of various organizations: the Film Commission of Greater Kansas City, CinemaKC and the Independent Filmmakers Coalition of Kansas City.

Jennifer is proud of her roles in Found Wandering Lost (2022), and the first NFT movie, Lotawana (2022), which received a personal endorsement from Jason Momoa, as well as being cast as a series regular/lead in Black Zone (2025). Other main supporting roles include the critically acclaimed, hit indie films I Am Lisa (2020) and The Stylist (2020).
