Akshay Ajit Singh is an Indian actor best known for his portrayal of Veer Singh Rathod in the highly acclaimed second season of the Indian adaptation of 24. Directed by Abhinay Deo, Rensil D'Silva, and Karan Boolani, and produced by 21st Century Fox and Ramesh Deo Productions.
A graduate of the Asian Academy of Films and Television school, Akshay began his acting journey from Theatre then moved to screen and films. His film Sanak, was helmed by Kanishk Varma and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Akshay will next be seen in a pivotal role in the film Doosra, a unique documentary-drama directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Ramesh Deo Productions.
On stage, Akshay has starred in various theatrical productions including the musical Jhumroo, and was also a part of The Artists Studio, performing the plays Limbo and Beyond Bling, staged at prestigious venues such as Prithvi Theatre, NCPA, and Kalaghoda Arts Festival.
Akshay is also sort after in the advertising world having shot for Amazon Prime, Cadbury and Vivo to name a few.
Off screen Akshay is an avid gardener and a voracious reader who also plays guitar and was part of the Delhi U-19 Basketball team.
