57th Academy Of Country Music Awards Winners Announced; Lainey Wilson Leads With Three Wins
Image
Hosted by Dolly Parton alongside co-hosts Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett, the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards was a two-hour concert event livestreamed globally on Prime Video tonight from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

One of the highlights of the show was industry veteran Miranda Lambert receiving the Entertainer of the Year award. What’s so special about this win in particular is that it qualifies her for the coveted Triple Crown Award. Her two wins tonight bring her total ACM Awards count to 37, more than any artist in ACM Awards history.

Lainey Wilson led the night in total wins with three, followed by Lambert and Carly Pearce with two wins a piece.

ACM Awards: Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson and Carly Pearce Among Winners
Morgan Wallen
At the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards, Morgan Wallen took home Album of the Year while Miranda Lambert won Entertainer of the Year.

Meanwhile, Lainey Wilson and Carly Pearce were the only nominees to win more than once, with Pearce taking home Female Artist of the Year and sharing a win for Music Event of the Year, and Wilson winning the ACM awards for New Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Wallen won the ACM award for “Dangerous: The Double Album,” released in early 2021 just before his career took a hit after he was videotaped using the n-word during a late night drinking session with friends. That appeared to be on his mind when he thanked “those who showed me grace along the way” during his acceptance speech.

Exclusive Fishbowl Clip: Punishment You Do Not Want
Image
In less than a minute, our exclusive clip from the upcoming indie thriller Fishbowl touched a nerve deep inside my subconscious. "Punishment" is a term that strikes a chilling yet familiar chord for many who were raised in religious households. If a parental figure metes out punishment, it is invariably meant to be a teachable moment: do not repeat what you did that was wrong and thus deserving of punishment. Directors Alexa Kinigopoulos and Stephen Kinigopoulos' feature film debut, Fishbowl follows what happens to a family of five when their dear mother (Judith Hoag) disappears. Living in a small town, the three daughters -- Emily Peachey, Caroline Coleman, Belle Shickle -- are "trying to cope with the absence of their mother ... and maintain a...

Three Sisters from a Town Full of Secrets in 'Fishbowl' Thriller Trailer
Emily Peachey, Belle Shickle, and Caroline Coleman in Fishbowl (2018)
"Father started wrestling with this fate... he ended up winning." Gravitas Ventures has released an official trailer for an indie thriller called Fishbowl, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaking siblings Stephen & Alexa Kinigopoulos raised in Maryland. This premiered at the Austin Film Festival in 2018, and it also screened at the Annapolis, Red Rock, and Anchorage Film Festivals. Three sisters. To get to heaven, they'll have to walk through hell. In a small town filled with secrets, three sisters are forced to cling to each other as they cope with loss and a father who's growing increasingly obsessed with the rapture he thinks is coming. As the bell begins to toll for "the rapture", true colors shine through and the mystery of their mom's disappearance is revealed in a "shattering" climax. The film features Emily Peachey, Caroline Coleman, Belle Shickle as the three sisters, along with Judith Hoag, Rick Kain,...

Watch Little Big Town Perform ‘Sugar Coat’ on ‘Fallon’
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (2014)
Little Big Town appeared on The Tonight Show to perform their song “Sugar Coat,” a track off the band’s new album Nightfall.

Appearing on an empty stage with a white backdrop, the country group and their backing band let the melody and lyrics speak for themselves. “Sometimes I wish I liked drinking, sometimes I wish I liked pills/Wish I could sleep with a stranger but someone like me never will,” singer Karen Fairchild croons, giving the live rendition extra emotional weight.

Little Big Town will release Nightfall, the band’s ninth studio album,...
