Torfinnur is the founder and CEO of GRÓ Studios, the first full-scale film and television studio in the Faroes, covering development, production, and distribution. The studio also operates a publishing and post-production division specializing in IP rights, original composition, music production, and supervision. Following the international success of TROM, GRÓ has developed a fast-growing slate that includes high-end TV dramas, feature films, and documentaries.
Building on this momentum, Torfinnur has also established UK affiliate Red Herring Story, a London-based film and television development company focused on smarter sustainable storylining for the screen through a new co-production strategy.
Before transitioning to film and television, Torfinnur spent over a decade in London working in news and finance. Over the years, he has honed his storytelling skills across feature films, shorts, documentaries, and TV series, earning multiple international awards and nominations.
