9-1-1 Eyes Potential Spinoff in Familiar Location for NCIS Fans

The hit series 9-1-1: Lone Star is preparing to end its run, but it appears that another 9-1-1 spinoff series will take its place. It's being reported that a new 9-1-1 spinoff is in the works with its planned location revealed.

Per Deadline, a second 9-1-1 spinoff series is in development at ABC from Ryan Murphy and Tim Minear. According to the report, Hawaii has emerged as the likely setting for the planned new show. Previously, it was reported that Las Vegas was becoming a contender for the spinoff, but the focus is now said to be largely on the Aloha State. As of now, however, the project hasn't been officially greenlit, and ABC has not offered an official comment on the news.

Sabrina Carpenter To Star In Nicholl Fellowship Drama ‘Into The Deep Blue’

Exclusive: Singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter (Emergency) is set to star in Nicholl Fellowship winner Into the Deep Blue.

Carpenter will play Fiona, a young woman dealing with the loss of her mother, anxiety and a complicated relationship with her best friend, Nick, whom she met in grief therapy. The script, from writer and novelist Jennifer Archer, was recently selected for the 2022 Nicholl Fellowship by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

‘The Last Video Store’: First Look Image For Horror Described As “Love Letter To The Era Of The Video Store”

Exclusive: UK distribution and production company Blue Finch Films has released a first look image for Vancouver-based directorial duo Cody Kennedy and Tim Rutherford’s horror The Last Video Store as it wraps shooting in the Canadian port city of Hamilton.

Described as a “love letter to the era of the video store”, the film revolves around a young woman who takes a collection of old video tapes to one of the last video stores in the world.

Unbeknownst to her, she is in possession of a legendary “cursed tape” that holds the power to connect the real world with another dimension in which B-movie fantasies are reality. When she and the video store owner unwittingly reawaken its curse, a raft of cinematic villains is unleashed.
