Lucas Lechowski(I)

Lucas Lechowski's musical journey began at age four as a classical violinist. He graduated from the revered Katowice Conservatory in Poland with a Master's degree in Jazz Violin Performance, a Bachelor's degree in Classical Violin Performance, and another Master's degree in Jazz Guitar Performance. After finishing his studies, he toured Europe and the United States. He played with symphony orchestras and various groups, showcasing his talents in classical, jazz, blues, and more. Lechowski has composed over 50 scores for a diverse range of projects, spanning feature films, TV shows, documentaries, and theatre plays. His music has been played at multiple film festivals all over the world including Venice, Sundance, Los Angeles, SXSW, Tribeca, Austin. He scored short films that garnered two Student Academy Award nominations and one win, commercials for Dolby, Adobe and Ikea, and composed the music for a significant two-hour NBC special hosted by Tom Brokaw, commemorating the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's death. His creative reach extended to Virtual Reality experiences, including "In The Clouds", an immersive project for Sony. Lechowski released several solo albums of original music, and, his music is featured in several compilations, including the classical series Millenial Masters. He was commissioned to write music for a permanent, modern art installation at the Baltimore Museum of Art. He is a Fellow of the Sundance Institute Composers Lab, and he is a Berlinale Talents alumnus. He was selected for leading film scoring workshops, including ASCAP/Columbia University Film Scoring Workshop, the NYU/ASCAP Television & Film Scoring Workshop, and the Society of Composers and Lyricists Mentorship Program. Currently residing in Los Angeles, California, Lechowski finds inspiration by exploring waves: the audible waves of pressure that form sound and rhythmic waves of the ocean on top of his surfboard.
