J.R. Andrus

J.R. began his schooling in the Computer Science department, with the intention of spending his career in the computer field. His interests quickly turned toward Audio and Video applications moving him to focus his studies on Engineering and finally the study of Acoustics and Physics. He began his career as a Production Technician with the majority of his time spent in trade shows. It was around this time that his interest in film began to grow. His many years of experience as a production technician lead him to producing short films and eventually to his first feature "Missed Connections."

His heavy technical and scientific background give him not only a broad understanding of the details of film making, but a high level of proficiency in many areas uncommon for a producer. The ability to quickly comprehend and analyze the issues involved with sound, visual effects, work flow, and editing have been one of his greatest assets as a producer.
