Leland Montgomery is a writer and director, known for Hotter Up Close (2022), Black Cat in a Dark Room (2019) and Like Animals (2017). In 2015 he won an award from the International Academy of Web Television for best micro budget series and in 2019 he won the Wes Craven Award for best horror short at the Catalina Film Festival. In 2022 he won Festival Favorite at Cinema Diverse for his short Hotter Up Close as well as Best Digital Short at SeriesFest. He has screened at Outfest Fusion, the Fantasia Film Festival, LA Shorts International, HollyShorts, the Calgary International Film Festival and dozens of others.
