Biography

Christopher Chew was born in Hernando, Mississippi. He was a football and baseball star in high school and after a short stint playing college football on a scholarship, he joined childhood buddies, Luther and Cody Dickinson providing bass guitar and vocals for The North Mississippi Allstars Growing up playing in church, his melodic bass and soulful voice added a special dimension to the band. The band has been on several soundtracks for films including Disney's "Holes" ("Shake 'Em On Down") and "Black Snake Moan" ("Mean ol' Wind Died Down") He and his band mates also appeared in the animated Film, "Barnyard" as "The Barnyard Boys." He is not the same Chris Chew that appeared on the CMT show, "Hammer and Chew."
