Coming off their acclaimed turn as Ellie in the second season of HBO's The Last of Us, Bella Ramsey is reportedly being eyed for a Marvel Studios role.

Though this should only be viewed as a rumor for the time being, scooper Mttsh is claiming that Marvel is interested in signing Ramsey for a "big role" in an upcoming project. This obviously covers a lot of ground and even more potential characters, and it's entirely possible that Kevin Feige and co. simply have the highly in-demand actor on their radar.

Ramsey might well have taken a meeting (or two), but Marvel meets with a lot of talent, often without any specific role in mind.

That said, there are some major MCU movies on the horizon, and  - assuming this is accurate - we can't help but wonder if Ramsey might be in line for a role in the upcoming X-Men reboot.

HBO has just revealed its Emmy submission categories for The Last of Us, fresh off of its second season finale. The big news: Pedro Pascal will once again compete for Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

The second season of the video game adaptation takes place five years after the events of the Season 1 finale. Audiences will remember we last saw Joel make the difficult decision to stop the Fireflies from performing surgery on Ellie, preventing the group from using her immunity to make a vaccine in the hopes of saving humanity from the Cordyceps virus that has transformed the world into a zombie-filled wasteland.

Season 2, which follows the events of the video game’s 2020 sequel “The Last of Us: Part II,” will see the effects of Joel’s decision play out as he and Ellie are drawn into a conflict with both each other and a world that’s even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left. Footage from this Sunday's season 2 finale of The Last of Us has leaked online, and fans have been reacting to what appears to be at least one significant change to how these events play out in the Naughty Dog video game, The Last of Us Part II.

We're not sure if the entire episode was posted at any point, but the finale was made available early to people who bought the season pass for the show through Apple. The episode - reportedly titled "Convergence" - was quickly removed ahead of the intended May 25 broadcast date, but not before clips began to circulate on social media.

The penultimate episode, "The Price," consisted of a series of flashbacks to Joel and Ellie's life in Jackson prior to the former's death at the hands of Abby. On Tuesday (May 14), the 21-year-old Emmy-winning actress took to Instagram to celebrate graduating from the University of Southern California School of Dramatic Arts.

One of this year’s great Emmy category mysteries has been solved. Gold Derby has learned exclusively that The Last of Us star Kaitlyn Dever will campaign in the Best Drama Guest Actress category at the Emmy Awards.

Dever could have picked the guest category or the Best Drama Supporting Actress field on the Emmys ballot, as she will ultimately appear in fewer than 50 percent of the Season 2 episodes.

In this week's episode of The Last of Us season 2, "Day One," Ellie and Dina narrowly escape from a horde of infected, with Ellie taking a bite in the arm in order to protect the woman she loves.

Two of the stars of The Last of Us are on the rise this week in Gold Derby's Emmy predictions.

Pedro Pascal, whose beloved character Joel had a brutal run-in with a golf club in the second episode of Season 2, has jumped from fourth place to third place in Best Drama Actor. Meanwhile, series newcomer Isabela Merced, who plays the free-spirited zombie apocalypse survivor Dina, has ascended from ninth place to eighth place in Best Drama Supporting Actress. This would be Pascal's fourth career Emmy bid after receiving three in 2023 for The Last of Us, Saturday Night Live, and Patagonia; Merced is seeking her first nomination.

In "Future Days," we are introduced to Abby Anderson (Kaitlyn Dever), the daughter of the doctor Joel (Pedro Pascal) killed in the season 1 finale while rescuing Ellie (Bella Ramsey). In a significant change to the Naughty Dog video game, we learn Abby's motivations for seeking revenge against Joel immediately.

Abby convinces her friends and fellow Fireflies to help her track Joel down, but all she has is his first name and vague description to go on. 

We then jump forward five years, with Joel and Ellie fully settled into a relatively peaceful life in Jackson. Ellie is barely speaking to Joel after finding out the truth about what happened the day he saved her from the Fireflies.

The physical appearance of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) isn’t the only difference between The Last of Us Season 2 and the video game on which the show is based. As The Last of Us co-creator, writer, and director Neil Druckmann explained last month during a press conference before the Emmy Award-winning show’s Season 2 premiere, the audience’s introduction to Abby was also tweaked.

“In the game, you play as Abby, so you immediately form an empathic connection with her, because you’re surviving as her, you’re running through the snow, you’re fighting infected. And we can withhold certain things and make it a mystery that will be revealed later in the story,” Druckmann said. “We couldn’t do that in the show because you’re not playing as her.

The Last of Us Season 2 is almost here, and on Saturday, HBO debuted the first official trailer for the acclaimed show’s second season.

The release coincides with a special The Last of Us panel at the South by Southwest Film & TV Festival featuring co-showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann and cast members Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, and Young Mazino.

Pascal and Ramsey were Emmy nominees for Season 1 of The Last of Us, which won eight Emmy Awards out of 24 nominations (and swept the drama guest acting categories for guest stars Nick Offerman and Storm Reid).

Season 2 premieres on April 13. The action picks up five years after the events of the Season 1 finale. In that episode, Joel (Pascal) saves Ellie (Ramsey) by brutally murdering several resistance fighters and doctors who sought to use Ellie’s immunity to the catastrophic Cordyceps outbreak.

Season 2 of the HBO series adaptation of the video game The Last of Us is now just one month away! The new batch of episodes are scheduled to begin airing on April 13th – and ahead of that date, Variety has revealed the names of six new additions to the cast, including the great Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix). The actor, who is often referred to as “Joey Pants,” recently appeared on just one episode of Dexter: Original Sin as a character called Mad Dog, who exited way too soon. Here’s hoping he’ll be on The Last of Us for a while longer.

Pantoliano’s fellow new additions to the cast are Alanna Ubach (Euphoria), Ben Ahlers (The Gilded Age), Hettienne Park (Hannibal), Robert John Burke (RoboCop 3), and Noah Lamanna (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds). Details on their characters have not been revealed.

On July 3, 2019, Neil Druckmann first said those fateful words to Craig Mazin inside the Santa Monica offices of Naughty Dog, the developer behind the blockbuster 2013 video game “The Last of Us.” As the game’s writer and creative director, Druckmann was the lead architect of its astonishing story of grief and trauma amid a zombie apocalypse. Mazin — whose gripping limited series “Chernobyl” had just concluded on HBO — revered the game, and had come to Naughty Dog to persuade Druckmann to adapt it for television with him.

But when Druckmann picked up a PlayStation controller during that first meeting, it wasn’t so he and Mazin could discuss one of the game’s fight sequences involving marauding hordes of “infected.” Nor was it to watch one of the many poignant scenes featuring its two protagonists: Joel, a hard-hearted smuggler, and Ellie, a headstrong teenager immune...
