Jenapher Zheng

Jenapher Zheng is an exuberant and endlessly imaginative Chinese-American actor and multi-disciplinary artist who is native to Los Angeles. She was one of eleven students in her year to be admitted to the prestigious CalArts Acting Program, where she trained extensively in scene study, voice acting, movement theatre, improv, and immersive/interactive production.

Her professional Theatre credits include productions at East West Players, La Jolla Playhouse, South Coast Rep, Hollywood Bowl, Wuzhen Theatre Festival, San Diego Old Globe, Disney REDCAT, Boston Court Pasadena, and the Geffen Playhouse. Her work in film has been shown in festivals such as SXSW, Fishnets and Film, HAAPI Fest, Silicon Beach Film Festival, Korea Pinoy International Film Festival, and the D.C. Asian Film Festival. Her work in commercials include campaigns for Playstation, East West Bank, Lexus, and McDonald's. She is active in the immersive theatre community, performing in live activations for KFC, John Wick 4, American Horror Story, HBO's Warrior, site-specific devised immersive shows, and ASMR productions from Whisperlodge at secret spaces throughout Los Angeles.

In voiceover, she has performed in media by GKIDS studios premiering at Cannes Festival, the VR game company TenderClaws, Niantic's mobile game Ingress, and animated shorts by CalArts students and independent artists. Her narration for audiobooks can be found in releases from Penguin, Podium, Brilliance Publishing, and Learning Ally, and her podcast work can be found on NPR's Tinkercast, Atypical Artists, and the geek-interest show PanGeekery.

She enjoys cosplaying, DIY crafting, playing Dungeons & Dragons, Twitch streaming videogames under the moniker JenZany, writing poetry, and eating dandan noodles.
