Fiona Fu began her career in media as a regional television news anchor, quickly rising to become a host, editor and director on national assignments at China Central Television (CCTV), China's state broadcaster. Her contributions left a lasting imprint on Asian broadcast media, before her move to Canada, where she transitioned into a flourishing acting career in North America.
A multiple Canadian Leo Award nominee, including two for Best Supporting Actress in a Dramatic Role for her performance in the series Blood and Water, Fiona is also known for her powerful performances in features like Netflix's Tigertail, the sports drama Leap, Power Rangers (Lionsgate), and the independent features A Shot Through the Wall, and Float.
Her television credits include recurring on popular shows such as Away for Netflix and Kung Fu for The CW, and guest spots on shows like Man in the High Castle, Minority Report, So Help Me Todd etc..
In 2025, Fiona continues to build a dynamic and diverse body of work, with four features slated for release in the next 12 months. These include the horror thriller Rock Springs, the mother-daughter feature Surrender ; the Japanese / American co-production Dear Stranger directed by Tetsuya Mariko; and finally Lloyd Lee Choi's Cannes International Film Festival 2025 selected feature Lucky Lu.
