Known for FILUM, Margaret and the Dollhouse, Prisoner of War, The Ongoing Audition, Fathers and Gaiety and My Dinner with Shakespeare in which he plays William Shakespeare.

Neil Giroday was raised in a small town on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. He spent his adolescence as a competitive Figure Skater. Coached by Linda Brauckmann, he was the Junior Men's Figure Skating Champion of Canada, Silver Medalist at the Canada Winter Games, and was twice named the Most Artistic Skater in British Columbia.

Neil is a graduate of the Professional Workshop at the Circle in the Square, where he studied acting with Larry Moss, Nikos Psacharopoulous, Alan Langdon and Edward Berkeley. He studied the Meisner Technique for 6 years with William Alderson and Fred Karaman at Carnegie Hall Studios. His first acting teacher was William Hickey at HB Studios. He had the good fortune to be taught to dance by Lynn Simonson, who awarded him her scholarship to the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and later put him on faculty at Dance New Amsterdam; her studio in New York.

Neil has performed in theatres across Europe and North America. He played Mr. Mistoffelees, Skimbleshanks and Alonzo for 5 years and 8 months with the Vienna, Zurich, Basel, and First International Tour of Cats. Other musicals include A Chorus Line (Greg), The Pajama Game (Steam Heat Boy), and The Wizard of Oz in which he played the Cowardly Lion for 8 months. Numerous plays include: All My Sons (Chris), Three Sisters (Andrei), Vieux Carre (The Writer), Orphans (Phillip), Home of the Brave (Coney), Dogg's Hamlet, Cahoot's Macbeth (Ophelia) and Enemies (Ryabtsov).
