Rick and Morty Is Already Auditioning for Justin Roiland's Replacement
Image
Rick and Morty is already auditioning for fired co-creator and star Justin Roiland's replacement, according to Adult Swim channel president Michael Ouweleen.

Ouweleen confirmed that Rick Sanchez, Morty Smith and the other roles previously filled by Roiland are currently being recast in an interview with Première. The channel president also promised fans that replacing Roiland won't hurt the show, citing Bugs Bunny as an example of an animated character that has successfully transitioned between voice actors. "[T]here have been several great Bugs Bunny voice actors, and I love what Jeff Bennett has done with them. But it's not [original Bugs voice actor] Mel Blanc!" he said. "And yet we recognize the character. I even think that for Rick and Morty we will do even better… It will be fine. It'll be great."

Christopher Nolan at an event for Inception (2010)
Christopher Nolan came out firing on Monday evening against Warner Bros’ decision to release all of its theatrical films scheduled for 2021 on HBO Max on the same day they’re slated to hit theaters. But given the current situation in the United States — the Covid-19 pandemic is currently at its peak here, and could continue to get worse before the vaccine is available — a lot of folks aren’t too concerned about the sanctity of the theatrical moviegoing experience right now.

“In 2021, they’ve got some of the top filmmakers in the world, they’ve got some of the biggest stars in the world who worked for years in some cases on these projects very close to their hearts that are meant to be big-screen experiences,” Nolan said in a statement railing against the move by Warner BRos and HBO Max.

Considering how the Covid-19 pandemic is going, however, a...
