Miguel Abuelo
Miguel Abuelo pioneered psychedelia in Spanish with his band Los Abuelos de la Nada. This is showcased in the single "Diana Divaga" and "Tema en flu sobre el planeta", its B-side (both with lyrics co-written by Pipo Lernoud), the instrumental "Lloverá," and "Pipo, la serpiente" (again, co-written with Lernoud). He released singles as a solo act in the same genre before relocating to Europe in the early 70s, such as "Mariposas de Madera", "Nunca te miró una vaca de frente", "Hoy seremos campesinos", and "Oye, niño". He remained one of the very few artists who adopted psychedelia in the Spanish scene from the late 60s and early 70s as his main idiom and aesthetics. In addition, he pioneered heavy metal in Spanish with his band "Miguel Abuelo et Nada." He also pioneered disco in Spanish with his song "Va silvestre bajo el sol", which was recorded in France.
