  • He was sentenced on February 14th 2022 for masterminding a Ponzi scheme involving the purchase and sale of distribution rights for TV and film projects and pled guilty in October 2021 of defrauding investors of at least $230 million. As part of the plea deal he admitted that he convinced high worth individuals to invest in his company (1inMM Capital) under the false claim that the money would be used to license international distribution right to foreign films that would then be relicensed to major streaming platforms such as Netflix and HBO. The money was used instead to buy a luxury home in Brentwood and other personal purchases. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and required to pay full restitution of $230M to his victims.
