BACKGROUND
Si Begg is a recording artist and performer working professionally since the mid 1990s. Widely respected in the music industry for his genre-defying rule breaking, his forward thinking creativity and pioneering technical skill he has recorded for legendary labels such as Mute, Ninja Tune, Tresor and Shitkatapult. He has also performed worldwide at venues such as Liquid Rooms Tokyo, Tresor Berlin, Chinese Laundry Sydney, Latitude Festival, Sonar, Roskilde, Berlin Love parade and a residency at Fabric London. He counts fans as diverse as Leftfield, Thom Yorke, Flying Lotus, Rone, John Peel (for whom he recorded three sessions), Pete Townsend, Carly Paradis, Dru Masters and Orbital.
FILM / TV / TRAILERS Si Begg has composed for multiple film and TV projects, notable works include 3 seasons of UK's cult Netflix rom-com series Lovesick, multi award winning Japanese arthouse thriller Darkness Of Otherwhere and the first 2 seasons of Box To Box's current hit Netflix show Tour De France : Unchained. He has also co-written scores for Jamie Child's debut feature Jackdaw (limited cinemas / Netflix) and forthcoming US festival hit Tim Travers and the Time Travellers Paradox with frequent collaborator Deadly Avenger. As a producer, arranger and sound designer he often works with composer Carly Paradis on shows such as Sky Original The Rising and forthcoming HBO series Get Mille Black, he is also right hand man to French electronic uber-composer Rone, assisting on Jacques Audiard's Cannes hit Les Olympiades (Paris 13th District in the UK) and Canal Plus limited series Of Money and Blood amongst others. Si Begg has also composed for multiple high profile trailer campaigns over the years, most recently for A24s huge Maxxxine campaign, Zoe Kravitz directorial debut Blink Twice and David Fincher's latest feature, The Killer.
